JDR Design•Build projects stand out for their cultivated, creative, and highly functional approach to design. Raised on the tiny island of Faial in the Azores, a group of Islands off the coast of Portugal, Jorge Da Rosa began to draw and create at a very young age. Beginning with a precise but child-like study of lines and angles, he would spend hours sketching out future creations while staring off into the vast blue --- dreaming of what extraordinary inspiration existed in the world beyond. At the age of 18, terrified and thrilled, he embarked on a journey to California and brought his visionary ideals and passion for creation along with him.

Jorge found his stride as a furniture designer first, then began to design kitchens, bathrooms, and eventually entire buildings. After being mentored by seasoned architects and designers for many years, Jorge decided to branch out on his own in 2012 by beginning JDR Design Studio. As a furniture designer, home re-imaginer, and most often house remodeler, Jorge finds pure joy in the minute details of a well-expressed space. He loves to mix textures, temperatures and styles to create one-of-a-kind havens which embody the tone of each client. Paying particular consideration to precision and function as his priorities, and being able to problem solve with creative solutions, Jorge has acquired and retained many wonderful clients as word spreads of his exacting eye and warm temperament. Jorge feels blessed to be doing something he absolutely adores and welcomes collaboration and the opportunity to be inspired by others.

Jorge currently resides in Dallas with his wife and children: Hudson, Lennon, and Andee along with their rambunctious and furry goldendoodle, Bartleby.
